I graduated from Carleton University in 1998. Prior to opening my private practice in September 2017, my years of employment with Child Welfare and the National Defense allowed me to engage with individuals, couples and families through crises and change. I engage in professional development opportunities on a regular basis to ensure I provide my clients with accurate, innovative and researched therapeutic approaches. I am a registered member of the Nova Scotia College of Social Work (NSCSW) and EMDR Canada. I enjoy being chair of the NSCSW's Professional Development Committee as we host events designed to improve our knowledge and scope of practice. I, along with a wonderful group of social workers, completed the mandate of the NSCSW's Private Practice Committee, and eagerly await the next phase of our journey. I am also chair of the Amherst Highland Fling Committee. This Committee is dedicated to raising funds for the purchase of medical equipment for our local hospital.
